Ab 1984 begann er dann nach der Entdeckung der einzigartigen Windverhältnisse an der Playa Sotavento sein Unternehmen aufzubauen. In unserer History könnt ihr nachlesen, wie aus anfangs 8 Boards und 30 Segeln heute die größte Wind- und Kitesurfschule der Welt mit jährlich über 25.000 Gästen entstand:

1984

René‘s Ankunft auf Fuerteventura: die Windsurf-Exklusivitätsrechte des Hotels Gorriones Fuerteventura in der Tasche.

Das Materiallager und Büro befindet sich ab Mai im Miniclub des Hotels Gorriones Fuerteventura.

Im ersten Jahr nutzen ca. 150 Gäste den René Egli Windsurf Service.

1985

Erster Prospekt (Eigenproduktion – Auflage 100 Stk.)

René erreicht die erste Zusammenarbeit mit grossen Reiseveranstaltern (Neckermann, Sun&Fun) und macht somit kompletten Windsurfurlaub komfortabel buchbar.

Durch aktive Präsenz auf Messen, gelingt es René das Prinzip des ganzheitlichen Windsurfurlaubes weiter zu verfestigen – die Nachfrage steigt stetig.

Erster Vertrag mit der damals führenden Materialmarke F2

1986

René ist Organisator und Teilnehmer der ersten PBA Windsurf Speed Weltmeisterschaft auf Fuerteventura.

Pascal Maka stellt mit 38,86 Knoten einen neuen Weltrekord auf – dadurch erhöht sich der Bekanntheitsgrad Fuerteventuras signifikant.

Gründung der Lifestylemarke Fuerte Action und damit ein Zugewinn für das ganzheitliche Angebot.

1987

Büro, Lager, Shop und eigene Rezeption werden im Hotel Gorriones Fuerteventura auf 640qm bezogen.

Das René Egli Center entsteht. Erster gratis Shuttle in die Costa Calma.

1988

The windsurfing material is now transported to the beach using trailers and the first installations similar to a centre are constructed at the beach.

1989

René opens Center I.

The windsurfing sails remain rigged up at the beach store - the boards are transferred daily at the beach.

1991

The windsurfing center gains shaded and wind-shielded relax-areas, a beach bar and sanitary facilities, making it significantly more convenient for the growing number of guests.

Market leader NeilPryde becomes the sail-partner

Launch of the Fuerte Action Bar, completing the holistic concept combining sport + fashion at a scene meeting place.

René and Angelika Egli have been ever since a strong pair in all aspects.

Opening of René Egli Center II – Risco del Paso (until 2012)

2000

JP and Cabrinha complete the material offer.

rene-egli.com has its own webcam installed on the roof of Hotel Gorriones.

René opens the first Kite Center and also the first kite school in Fuerteventura.

2001

René organises the first Kite World Cup in Fuerteventura, one of the first of its kind in the world.

Sebastien Cattelan achieves a new hang time world record of 8.87 sec

2007

René receives the "Bronze" medal for his outstanding achievements benefitting the general public interest of Fuerteventura.

2008

The René Egli Signature collection with wind & kite-surfing motifs expands the offer of the Fuerte Action brand as an independent range.

René opens the Beach-House, which unites Information & Reservation, a shop and a café with a unique atmosphere under one roof.

2012

Together with the beach licences, René purchases by auction the exclusive right to teach in the lagoon.

2013

Strandsegeln als Zusatzofferte (erneut nach 2002)

25.000 Windsurfer und Kiteboarder buchten René Egli. Die Homepage rene-egli.com erreicht 2013 durchschnittlich 15.000 Besucher pro Tag.

René eröffnet das neue Kite-Center by Meliã im Palmengarten des Hotels Meliã Gorriones. René Egli und Mystic starten eine erfolgreiche Kooperation.
